What it actually does

Useful before impressive.

The central risk in AI restoration is making a cleaner photograph of a different-looking person. Bearly's prompt treats identity, expression, era, composition, and surviving texture as constraints—not suggestions.

Restoration can remove damage and make plausible inferences, but it cannot know what vanished. The result stays editable, and uncertain regions are called out instead of quietly promoted to history.
