What it actually does

Useful before impressive.

Visual diff tools are good at moved commas and bad at changed meaning. Bearly pairs a source-level comparison with an interpretive layer, while keeping those two layers visibly separate.

That makes the output useful for reports, proposals, policies, research drafts, board materials, and agreements. The next question can isolate one section, draft a response, build a table, or compare a third version.
