Introducing Bearly Browser
A shared browser for you and Bearly, built into the desktop app.
Today we’re introducing Bearly Browser, a browser built into the Bearly desktop app.
Use it as you would any browser: open tabs, visit websites, and sign in to the services you use. When you want help, Bearly can read and work on the same page while you watch.
A shared view of the web
A lot of work begins on a website: comparing plans, reading documentation, checking a dashboard, or reviewing a draft. Copying text and screenshots into a chat works, but the context goes stale as soon as the page changes.
Bearly Browser gives you and the chat the same page to work from.
Open a company’s pricing page and security documentation, then ask Bearly to compare them. Bearly can move between tabs, read the pages, follow links, and take screenshots. The active tab stays visible throughout, so the work is easy to follow.
When Bearly needs access to a new site, it asks first. You can approve the site for the current reply or for the rest of the task session. Each new site requires its own approval, and Bearly asks again before submitting a form. Passwords, payment details, one-time codes, and file uploads stay manual.
You can also keep Browser entirely manual. The setting that enables Browser is separate from Allow chats to use Browser, so opening the browser does not automatically give a chat access to it.
Point to what matters
Sometimes the fastest way to explain a page is to point at it.
Select Capture and annotate page, then click an element or drag over a section of the page. Add a note and the screenshot will be attached to your next message with the selected area marked for Bearly.
This is useful for questions like “Why doesn’t this total match the table?” or “Rewrite the text in this section.”
Bring your sign-ins
Bearly Browser uses a separate profile stored on your device for the current Bearly account. Its cookies and site data are kept apart from your normal browser, Bearly’s own login, and other Bearly accounts on the computer.
Sign in manually, or import current cookies from a Chrome or Edge profile. The import copies cookies only. It leaves passwords, history, bookmarks, and autofill where they are, and it does not change the source browser. Some protected cookies may not import, depending on the operating system.
Ad and tracker blocking is on by default. You can turn it off if it causes problems on a site.
Available on desktop
Bearly Browser is currently available to a limited set of accounts in the desktop app. It is not available on web or mobile. The Browser supports up to eight open tabs, and its controls may change while we expand access.
If Browser is enabled for your account, update the Bearly desktop app and open App Settings → Desktop → Browser. You can turn the feature off, prevent chats from using it, reset open tabs, or delete its stored site data at any time.
